Tools to Grow & Equip
As you become a disciple and make disciples, there are many tools that can help facilitate growth in particular areas. The tools provided by FOTV are intended to encourage and push people closer to Jesus. We know that these certainly aren’t the only methods out there, but they are some that our community has found helpful.

Like putting an address in on your Maps app, there are various ways to get to the desired destination, but the important thing is that you arrive. Tools help us do that in discipleship. We encourage you to use whatever works best for you and those you disciple, but everything you use should be biblically-based and Jesus-centered.

The important thing is not that you ‘master administration of the tools’, but that when the tools are used, they ultimately lead to revelation, transformation, and the equipping of the Saints. If we merely focus on teaching the tools for the sake of teaching tools, we’ve missed it. Remember, it’s always real-life transformation and ongoing spiritual formation we are after, not just the transfer of knowledge. Lives that bear lasting fruit will always be our goal.

God is relational and He designed humans in the same way. We have always been meant to do life in community as relationships enhance the quality of life. God desires us to have encouraging and edifying fellowship with other believers. These tools are designed to deepen these relationships and help put Christ at the center.

Prayer is life to the believer. It is required to have a healthy relationship with God, so these tools aim to teach and equip people with how to interact with the God of the Universe through the power of prayer.
